INVITES FAMILIES TO ITS
2ND ANNUAL "PASSOVER EXTRAVAGANZA"

Massapequa, NY - South East Nassau Synagogue Enterprise (SENSE)
invites families across Long Island to its 2nd Annual "Passover
Extravaganza" on Sunday, March 18, from 1 - 4 p.m.
The festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with a family scavenger
hunt followed by food sampling at Super Stop & Shop, 3750
Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown at the corner of Wantagh Avenue.
Then at 3 p.m., everyone will continue on to A.C. Moore in the
Plainedge Shopping Center, 2988 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage
at the corner of Hicksville Road, where adults will learn about
"The Meaning and Traditions of Passover" with Rabbi
Jonathan Waxman of Congregation Beth-El of Massapequa, while
children will make their own pillow to be used at their Passover
seders.
Interfaith and unaffiliated families are encouraged to participate
in this free community-wide event sponsored by SENSE in cooperation
with the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center and SAJES, the
central agency for Jewish education. "Passover Extravaganza"
is a program of 'Celebrations: Discovering Jewish Life in the
Marketplace'T, a project of SAJES.
SENSE is a consortium of synagogues whose mission is to invigorate
Jewish life in South East Nassau. Participating synagogues include:
Congregation Beth El of Massapequa, Farmingdale Jewish Center,
Suburban Temple (Wantagh), Temple Beth El of Bellmore, Temple
Judea of Massapequa, Temple Shaarei Shalom -- East Bay Reform
(Bellmore), Temple Sinai of Massapequa and Wantagh Jewish Center.
